JB-EYE (fire and security) are dissuading the installation of bells only systems. This decision although commercially damaging was agreed due to the management no longer having faith in the bells only alarm system. The following statements bare witness to this decision -

Example System Layout
Take a three bedroom semi- detached house requiring a good level of intruder protection.
Located downstairs is a hallway a through lounge and a kitchen. Upstairs there are three bedrooms and a bathroom your entry to the house is via the front door.
The Alarm control keypad is situated in the hallway convenient for access from the front door.
A door contact is fitted to the front door to initiate a timed entry this allows authorised persons sufficient time to disarm the alarm system.
A movement detector is positioned in the hall, lounge and kitchen, giving full volumetric coverage. A final detector is installed to the landing area covering the upstairs doors.
A high profile external bell box is sited to the front and rear of the house.
